Working foreman

What will you do?

As a Working Foreman, you will be the primary point of contact on the worksite and actively contribute to a variety of maritime projects. You will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. In addition, you will lead a team of skilled professionals and act as the link between project execution, project management, and clients.

Whether it involves the construction, modification, or repair of maritime structures and assets, you will ensure that work is completed to a high standard of quality and that the team performs at its best.

Your responsibilities include:
• Leading and supervising operational personnel on a daily basis
• Actively participating in construction, assembly, and repair activities
• Monitoring quality, safety, and progress of ongoing work
• Coordinating activities both on-site and in the workshop
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and work instructions
• Identifying bottlenecks and proposing practical solutions
• Liaising with project management, subcontractors, and clients
• Ensuring the efficient deployment of personnel, equipment, and resources
• Inspecting completed work and managing punch-list items

What do you bring?

We are looking for a practical leader who leads by example and enjoys working closely with others.

Must-haves:
• Proven experience in steel structures, fabrication, construction work, or a similar technical environment
• Experience supervising and leading personnel on-site
• Strong technical understanding and the ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Flexible, results-oriented, and hands-on attitude
• Strong communication skills
• A strong sense of responsibility and attention to safety and quality
• A team player who can motivate and support colleagues

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience within the maritime industry
• VCA-VOL certification, or willingness to obtain it
• Forklift, MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform), or lifting certifications
• Good command of the English language
• Experience with work preparation and planning
